Michael Schmitt Architect pc is an architectural design studio offering professional services from conceptual design through to the completion of the built work. The studio was founded in 1987 and is located in New York City. Our projects are diverse. They range from minimal interventions to large scale residential and commercial work. We consider each project uniquely and enjoy the challenge of working within varied parameters.

Michael Schmitt received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Kentucky. Mike founded Michael Schmitt Architect pc in 1987 and is a Registered Architect, State of New York, 1985, Pennsylvania, 1998. Mike's work has been published in many times including Interior Design, Fine Woodworking, Metropolis and Luxe. Mike received an American Institute of Architects, Kentucky Society of Architects HONOR AWARD 2002 for achievement of Excellence in the Architectural Design of the Cot House located in Warsaw, Kentucky. Mike has extensive experience and is adept in dealing with all the challenges of bringing a vision to completion in New York City.

Ann Doyle received her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from University College Dublin and her Master of Architecture Degree from Rice University in Houston. She has over 25 years experience as an Architect in Dublin, Chicago and New York where she has gained experience on a wide variety of projects. Ann is a Registered Architect in Ireland (Member of Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland) and has been a part of the Michael Schmitt Architect pc team since 2005.

Melanie Hollas received her Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University, Ohio and her Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Melanie is currently a consultant to our group sharing her expertise in all areas of residential design and detailing.

Camila Serrano received her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the Universidad International SEK in Ecuador. She continued her studies in the US at the NY School of Interior Design where she received her Master of Professional Studies in Sustainable Interior Environments Degree. Camila has over five years of experience working in Architecture in New York completing projects of all types and scales.

Jamie Avins is our office manager and bookkeeper.

On October 18, 2002, Michael Schmitt Architects received the distinguished HONOR AWARD from The Kentucky Society of Architects of the American Institute of Architects for Achievement of Excellence in the Architectural Design of “Cot House” Warsaw, Kentucky.
